53 years of what? a question that deserve an answer.
53 years,
A milestone in a man's life,
A time to rejoice and merry,
And to look back at your achievements,
And let out a sound of achievement mixed with satisfaction.,
But that isn't really the case.
Can we actually sit and smile,
Dance and rejoice like all is well,
I don't really think so.
ASUU are still striking,
Boko haram are still bombing,
Nigerians are tired of complaining,
And are now suffering and smiling.
A country where corruption is the order of the day,
Where a few people are more important than millions,
A country where wrong has become something normal,
Thus now been called right,
A country blessed with many resources,
But focuses on only one,
And yet still suffers..
But despite that thers is still hope,
Hope for the future,
For a better Nigeria,
Let's not sit back blaming the govrtment or anyone,
But face and tackle our problems squarely,
Cos despite all these happenings that are not pallatable today,
There is stil light at the end of the tunnel.
I willl keep my happy independence,
and see if it will be well deserved at 54...
God bless Nigeria,
Am is proudly naija....
